Number of Tesla Model 3s ordered by Hertz in a bid to power up its electric offerings. The car-rental company ordered its first battery-powered vehicles in 2011, and one fifth of its fleet will need to be charged, rather than refuelled, when this order is completed in 2022. Tesla’s share price was given a jolt after the news was announced.
