Shakambhari Purnima

Celebrated as Shakambhari Purnima or Shakambhari Jayanti in 2020. The belief is that Goddess Parvati incarnated as Goddess Shakambhari to mitigate famine and severe food crisis on Earth. She is also known as goddess of vegetables, fruits and green leaves and depicted with green surroundings of fruits and vegetables. In  western Maharashtra region of Marathwada, the goddess is worshiped with the latest winter produce, especially vegetables.
