Upper Vaitarna. At 99.79% of its live storage capacity of 227,047 million litres, compared to 99.36% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 2,881 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 16%.

Middle Vaitarna. At 94.10% of its live storage capacity of 193,530 million litres, compared to 96.39% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 3,602 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 12%.

मोडकसागर / Modak Sagar.. At 95.83% of its live storage capacity of 128,925 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 3,501 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 11%. The city sources 440 million litres of water each day from the lake. First overflow of the season on 13 Jul at 1.04 pm.

तानसा / Tansa. At 98.89% of its live storage capacity of 145,080 million litres, compared to 99.02% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 3,247 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 10%.

Tulsi. At 99.45% of its live storage capacity of 8,046 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 7 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 4,667 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 2%. First overflow of the season on 17 Jul at 5:45 pm.

Vihar. At 100.00% of its live storage capacity of 27,698 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 30 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 3,320 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 1%. First overflow of the season on 11 Aug at 5:30 am.

Barvi. At 100.00% of its live storage capacity of 233,070 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. The water from Barvi dam is supplied to Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, Mira- Bhayander, Bhiwandi and Navi Mumbai. (This entry as included as part of Mumbai lakes on popular demand :-)).

Starting this date, BMC will start implementing a 10% cut in water supply due to "insufficient rainfall and insufficient water stock in the 7 dams & lakes that supply water to Mumbai Metropolitan City". This 10% water cut will also be applicable to areas in Thane and Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation which receive water supply from BMC.

BMC revokes 10% water cut as storage levels rise above 25%
