भातसा / Bhatsa. At 88.90% of its live storage capacity of 717,037 million litres, compared to 96.67% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 63 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 2,016 mm. ~45% rise in storage over a 8 day period of 20 to 27 Jul! Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 48%. Nearly 70% of water in the dam is meant for Mumbai.

Upper Vaitarna. At 77.08% of its live storage capacity of 227,047 million litres, compared to 93.20% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 11 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 1,774 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 16%.

Middle Vaitarna. At 93.41% of its live storage capacity of 193,530 million litres, compared to 91.49% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 23 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 1,898 mm. ~58% rise in storage in last 10 days! Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 12%.

मोडकसागर / Modak Sagar.. At 86.06% of its live storage capacity of 128,925 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 59 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 2,282 mm. ~74% rise in storage in 4 days, 19 Jul - 22 Jul! Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 11%. The city sources 440 million litres of water each day from the lake. First overflow of the season on 22 Jul.

तानसा / Tansa. At 99.10% of its live storage capacity of 145,080 million litres, compared to 99.18% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 55 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 2,032 mm. ~62% rise in storage in 4 days, 19 Jul - 22 Jul! Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 10%. First overflow of the season on 22 Jul.

Tulsi. At 100.00% of its live storage capacity of 8,046 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 19 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 3,831 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 2%. First overflow of the season at 11 am on 16 Jul.

Vihar. At 100.00% of its live storage capacity of 27,698 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Today's rainfall: 8 mm. Total rainfall since 01 Jun: 2,478 mm. Lake's share of water to Mumbai: 1%. First overflow of the season at 9 am on 18 Jul.

Volume of water the BMC supplies to the city and its suburbs every day.

Barvi. At 100.00% of its live storage capacity of 233,070 million litres, compared to 100.00% at the same time last year. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) unlikely to announce water cuts given water supply combined live storage across all lakes on 01 Jul was at 18.28% compared to 8.18% same time last year.

“For a week now, cumulative water available in the seven lakes has not increased, and remains at about 17%. The catchment area has not received sufficient rainfall. We will observe the lake levels closely for the next two-three days, and then decide the future course of action for the remaining year. A decision about whether to impose a water cut will be taken after this.” -
