Approximate number of farmers engaged in cultivation of Tussar silk in the district during the year 2020-21. Sundargarh is famous for producing the finest quality Tussar Silk. It is cultivated primarily in Bonai, Koira, Lahunipara, Bisra and Bargaon blocks of the district.

Number of cocoons procured by 9 Tasar Rearers Cooperative Societies from the farmers in the district. The societies also provide technical & financial assistance to the farmers.
