Goalpara was worst affected with 21 villages already inundated due to the rains in the past 4 days. The flood has damaged crops in 501 hectares, while 13, 448 animals have also been affected.

Water levels in Kopili river at Kampur in Nagaon District rises to 61.74 metres 1.24 metres above the danger level. The Brahmaputra river at Neamatighat in Jorhat rises to 85.41 metres, 0.37 metres above the danger level. According to ASDMA, 271,655 people are now affected by flooding in 11 districts, with over 215,000 of them in Goalpara and more than 22,000 in Nalbari. As of now, 57 relief camps have been set up, housing 16,720 people.

Floods hit summer paddy harvest in Assam. First wave of floods has hit most of the summer paddy zones in the state, which include Nagaon, Morigaon, Goalpara, Dhubri, Sonitpur and Darrang cultivated over four lakh hectares in the state.
