    Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NCL) commissioned Unit 1 of the Neyveli New Thermal Power Plant on 19 December 2019 at 11.30 P.M. The plant is located in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu and will source lignite from NLC's own lignite mines. The main plant packages are supplied and erected by BHEL.
