Harangi Dam. At 98.94% of its full capacity of 2,407 million litres, compared to 98.12% at the same time last year. Inflow on 13 Sep: 43,268 litres/sec. Outflow on 13 Sep: 36,812 litres/sec. The reservoir which is one of the major tourist attractions in Kodagu district. It provides irrigation facility to 1.34 lakh acres of farmland. The right bank canals irrigate lands in Kodagu district, Periyapattana, Hunsur and KR Nagar taluks of Mysuru district while the left bank irrigates land in Arkalgud taluk of Hassan district.

Hemavathi Dam (aka Gorur Dam). At 99.89% of its full capacity of 10,506 million litres, compared to 51.27% at the same time last year. Inflow on 13 Sep: 285,322 litres/sec. Outflow on 13 Sep: 283,170 litres/sec. Hemavathi reservoir is the lifeline of Hassan, Tumakuru, and parts of the Mandya districts. Over 3 lakh acres of land is irrigated by the Hemavathi project. Hassan is entitled to 5,097 million litres, Tumakuru 7,050 million litres and Mandya 1,585 million litres.

Bhadra Dam. At 96.65% of its full capacity of 20,258 million litres, compared to 61.80% at the same time last year. Inflow on 13 Sep: 216,738 litres/sec. Outflow on 13 Sep: 182,616 litres/sec. Located near Lakkavalli in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru. A multiple purpose dam, it irrigates about 105,570 hectares of land in Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru and Davangere districts, supports power generation of 39 MW and provides 169,900 million litres of domestic drinking water annually.
