Sale of farm by Origin Energy to Goldwind Australia for $110 million

As part of the sale, Origin Energy agreed to buy all of the power generated by the farm, and the associated Renewable Energy Certificates, for less than $60/MWh, from the commencement of operations in 2019 to 2030.

Green light given by the state government - Planning Minister Richard Wynne approved a planning amendment which would see the number of turbines drop from 157 to 149, with an increased height of up to 180 metres.

Goldwind appoints a SNC-Lavalin WBHO Joint Venture as the preferred contractor. SNC-Lavalin, in joint venture with WBHO Infrastructure Pty Ltd. AFR reports Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets is working with Qatar based Nebras Power - a newcomer to Australia's energy sector - in a joint bid for the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm in Victoria. It is understood the duo lobbed a bid for the Goldwind Australia-owned Stockyard Hill, which is up for sale in auction run by KPMG, and is seen as one of the lead contenders to buy the wind farm.

Work at the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm’s terminal station near Lismore ramped with the construction of six lattice towers at the site.

Testing of 500 kilovolt (kV) circuit breakers is now under way at the terminal station.

Transmission assets energised! Designed, built and owned by Mondo, the energisation of these transmission assets represents the culmination of 18 months’ work for the delivery team, and 14 months of prior planning and design work for the development team. Mondo recognised the contributions of its numerous delivery partners, particularly Zinfra and Jacobs, who supported Mondo in delivering this key piece of Victorian infrastructure.

Nebras Power Investment Management B.V. announces completion of 49% equity stake acquisition in the project.

Toohey Form-Crete, based in Ballarat, wraps up work after approximately 18 months on site as part of the wind farm’s ongoing construction. Toohey’s Form-Crete played a pivotal role in forming and pouring foundations for the 149 Goldwind turbines for the wind farm. Construction is ongoing at the project and 69 of the turbines have been installed to date.

1st turbine begins sending power to the grid. So far a total of 90 Goldwind 3S turbines have been installed at the site in Western Victoria. 1st of the project’s 3 substations have been energised, enabling the 1st turbine to be commissioned and deliver electricity into the national electricity market. The remaining two substations are expected to be fully commissioned and energised in June.
