Electricity retailer Flow Power signs a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 50 MW of the farm's capacity. The company will in turn make chunks of the 50 MW available to customers who wish to source power directly, rather than from the energy market.

The deal will enable Burra Foods to offset electricity consumed from the grid and reduce its energy bills by 20%. The dairy processor can receive up to 1.5 million litres of fresh farm milk for processing each day, which requires energy to process.
