Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) inaugurates a Computer Training Centre and a Tailoring, Embroidery & Knitting Centre at its Krishnashila Project. Local youth will be imparted free computer education and training at this centre which would help them to get employment. Young women and girls will also be trained in Tailoring, Embroidery & Knitting to enable them to become self reliant.

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), addressed the plight of homeless and less fortunate by distributing food to the needy men, women and children who live in front of Bilaspur Railway station. They also distributed fruits. This good deed was implemented by Shradha Mahila Mandal of SECL.

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), distributed Sewing Machines, Shawls, Sarees and Musical Instruments to women of Hahap Village, Ranchi to help make them self reliant. Shri Gopal Singh, CMD, CCL, Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri. Ram Tahal Choudhary and senior officials of CCL were present on the occasion.

They were examined for vision, BMI (Body Mass Index) and various other health parameters and a health profile was made. Based on their health profiles, children were given multi-vitamins, vitamin D, protein powder and de-worming medicine.

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), as a part of its “Swavalamban Scheme”, is helping the underprivileged youth living in its peripheral areas to learn driving and become self sustainable. On successful completion of their training, they were handed over their driving licences on the occasion of Republic Day.

NCL has also installed tanks for storage of water. Smt. Premvati Khairwar, Mayor, Singrauli Municipal Corporation dedicated the new pipeline to the residents of Bodarhava Tola.

villagers took advantage of a free health and eye camp organised by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on 28 Feb 2017. 260 underwent eye check up, 95 villagers were given free spectacles, 27 were detected with glaucoma and 9 with cataract. 82 villagers were detected with diabetes while screening.
